Creditors - Be sure to give them your new address to
avoid late invoices which could hurt your credit rating.
Drivers License - Stop by the Secretary of States office
to update your license.
Employer - Remember to update your personal employment
records!
Insurance - If you carry renter's insurance, notify your
insurance company of your address change. Same with automobile
insurance.
Post Office - Fill out a "forward mail" form
to make sure your mail follows you.
Telephone Service - Call at least two (2) weeks in
advance to get your telephone service installed on time. Did you know
that most telephone companies allow you to have a recording on your old
phone number that will give the new one? Remember your cellular phone
service also... you may be have to change your local calling area.
Utilities - Such as cablevision, electric and gas need
to be notified in advance too.
